Depth of Field/Aperture
I was able to change the what was in focus in my photographs using manual focus or a dial on the camera. I find that the best photo in my collection is my third photograph. This is because the sticks in the background are very sharp and draw the viewer's attention towards the back of the photo. I would want to use a shallow depth of field to control what I wanted the viewer to see and to create a clear focal point. I would use a large depth of field in a situation where I had to capture a large area such as a cityscape or landscape.
